Music Education Enrichment: Tuscaloosa Schools Benefit from Morgan Wallen Foundation's Instrument Donations

Three Tuscaloosa City Schools are set to benefit from over $65,000 in musical instrument donations as part of the Morgan Wallen Foundation’s 2026 Tour Give Back Program. The schools receiving the donations are Eastwood Middle School, Oakdale Elementary School, and The Alberta School of Performing Arts. The instruments, including clarinets, trombones, xylophones, a vibraphone, and other band and percussion equipment, will be donated following Wallen’s concert at Bryant-Denny Stadium, where he was joined by former Alabama football coach Nick Saban for his walkout.
TCS Superintendent Mike Daria expressed excitement about the opportunities the donated instruments will provide for students and the enhancement of music instruction in the schools. The Morgan Wallen Foundation focuses on supporting youth programs in music and sports, with the Tour Give Back Program specifically aimed at providing donations to communities hosting Wallen’s tour stops.
Veronica Crawford, the band director at The Alberta School of Performing Arts, welcomed the new instruments as the program prepares for its largest incoming sixth-grade class. The grant for the instrument donations is being administered through the Mr. Holland’s Opus Foundation, which collaborates with organizations nationwide to support school music programs through instrument donations.
The generous donation of musical instruments by the Morgan Wallen Foundation will undoubtedly have a lasting impact on the music education and opportunities available to students at Eastwood Middle School, Oakdale Elementary School, and The Alberta School of Performing Arts. The support from the foundation and the Mr. Holland’s Opus Foundation will contribute to the enrichment of music programs in these schools for years to come.
