Lionsgate is currently working on a film adaptation of the popular video game "Streets of Rage" and has brought on board the writers of the "Sonic the Hedgehog" movie franchise, Pat Casey and Josh Miller, to work on the screenplay. Jeymes Samuel, known for "The Harder They Fall," will be directing the film. The project is shrouded in secrecy, but it promises to capture the essence of the beloved game with its iconic characters, electronic soundtracks, and action-packed gameplay.

"Streets of Rage" was a hit video game series in the 1990s known for its beat 'em up gameplay and memorable music.
