Teenage Boy Arrested for Making Threats in Maryborough: Updates and Charges

A teenage boy has been arrested and charged for allegedly making threats in Maryborough on 28 May. Police responded to reports of a person with a knife at a business on Saltwater Creek Road and took a 13-year-old boy into custody. The boy was charged under the Youth Justice Act for various offenses. Further investigations led to additional charges, including planning to cause harm and possessing extremist material. The boy has been remanded in custody and is scheduled to appear in court on 5 June. Police assure the public that there is no ongoing threat and investigations are ongoing.
