USC-Bound: Malaki Davis, Corona Centennial's Rising Star, Embraces Trojan Legacy and Future

Corona Centennial (Calif.) 2028 three-star running back Malaki Davis has been a frequent visitor at USC in the past year. He attended multiple games at the Coliseum last fall and has been on campus three times this spring. Davis is scheduled to return on June 11 for a workout with running backs coach Anthony Jones, who he has built a close relationship with. Jones attended Centennial’s College Showcase in late January and after a conversation with Davis’ family, the rising junior received a dream offer from USC.

Davis views USC as a certified school with a promising future in both football and business. He values the proximity to home and the support system it provides. The Trojans' new approach to recruiting local talent has also caught Davis' attention, as he sees the opportunity to play alongside familiar faces from his youth football days. The education and non-football opportunities at USC, particularly in real estate, are appealing to Davis, who excels academically with a 4.0 GPA.

Standing at 6-foot-1 and weighing 215 pounds, Davis looks up to past running backs for inspiration, with former USC Heisman Trophy winner Marcus Allen being a top influence. His admiration for USC's football legacy and the connections he has with current players make USC a top choice for him. Davis is excited about the potential to continue his football career at a prestigious university like USC while pursuing his academic interests.
