USDA Recall Alert: Frozen Pork and Crab Soup Dumplings Containing Undeclared Peanut Product

The U.S. Department of Agriculture has issued a recall for frozen pork and crab soup dumplings produced by Synear Foods between October 15, 2025, and February 23, 2026. These products were found to contain an undeclared peanut product, prompting health officials to advise consumers to check their freezers for the affected items. The recalled dumplings bear the establishment number EST. 45942 inside the USDA mark of inspection and were distributed in California, New Jersey, Washington, and Canada.

Approximately 71,603 pounds of the dumplings were sold in the mentioned states, with concerns that some may still be in consumers' freezers. The USDA's Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) recommends disposing of or returning any recalled products found. The FSIS discovered the presence of peanut oil in the dumplings during a routine allergen inspection, which was not disclosed on the product label due to a formula change for the products.

Peanut allergies are known to cause severe food-related allergic reactions, with even trace amounts potentially triggering a response in sensitive individuals. It is crucial for consumers to be aware of the recall and take appropriate action if they have purchased the affected Synear Foods dumplings.
