Production has commenced, with a planned release in 2028 on Tencent Video's platforms in China and South East Asia.
The upcoming animated series is a significant project for Coolabi and Tencent, who are also working on an animated film adaptation of Warrior Cats. The film project, previously associated with Harry Potter producer David Heyman, has transitioned from live-action CG to animation. Warrior Cats has garnered global popularity, with the books translated into 38 languages and user-generated content on platforms like YouTube and TikTok attracting millions of views monthly. The Warrior Cats game on Roblox has also been a hit, played over 728 million times. The brand's success extends to retail partnerships, such as the collaboration with Bonkers Toys in the U.S. for licensed Warrior Cats toys.
