Mission Critical Group Expands Manufacturing Footprint with New Facility in Harleysville, Pennsylvania

Mission Critical Group (MCG) has announced the opening of a new manufacturing facility in Harleysville, Pennsylvania, to meet the increasing demand for AI, data center, and mission critical infrastructure projects. The facility will expand MCG's low-voltage switchgear production capacity and add over 266,000 square feet of manufacturing space to support critical electrical infrastructure needs.

The new Harleysville campus will enhance MCG's ability to deliver electrical solutions for AI, data centers, utilities, and other power-intensive environments. By increasing manufacturing capacity and improving delivery timelines, MCG aims to accelerate time-to-power for its customers and provide high-quality solutions for their critical power infrastructure requirements.

Jeff Drees, CEO of Mission Critical Group, emphasized the significance of this expansion in the company's growth strategy and commitment to customer service. The new facility in Harleysville will strengthen MCG's manufacturing footprint in the Northeast and enable the company to meet the growing demand for critical power infrastructure in the future.

Located close to MCG's existing North Wales manufacturing site, the Harleysville facility will work in coordination with the other site to expand switchgear production capacity and support metal fabrication activities. Limited operations for training have already begun, with full production ramp-up scheduled for September 2026.

The expansion in Harleysville is expected to create 300 new jobs in the region. MCG will be hosting a career fair on June 17 at the new facility to provide information about open positions in manufacturing, production, operations, and skilled trades. Attendees will have the opportunity to meet the MCG leadership and recruiting teams, as well as tour parts of the new facility.
