Brit Floyd at the Mountain Winery: A Tribute to Pink Floyd's 'The Wall' and 'The Dark Side of the Moon

Brit Floyd is bringing their Pink Floyd tribute act to the Bay Area for a two-night stand at the Mountain Winery in Saratoga. The band will perform the classic albums "The Wall" and "The Dark Side of the Moon" on June 12 and 13, respectively, along with Pink Floyd's greatest hits. The shows start at 7:30 p.m. with tickets starting at $54. Additionally, the Mountain Winery has a new restaurant, La Cucina Italiana, for concertgoers to enjoy before the shows.

Damian Darlington, the guitarist-vocalist of Brit Floyd, shared his journey of falling in love with Pink Floyd's music, starting with "The Wall" album. He discussed the band's evolution and the significance of albums like "Meddle" and "The Final Cut" in shaping Pink Floyd's sound. Darlington also talked about the challenges of recreating David Gilmour's iconic guitar parts while adding his own musical personality to the performances.

Despite the focus on Roger Waters and David Gilmour, Darlington highlighted the contributions of Rick Wright and Nick Mason to the Pink Floyd sound. He emphasized that fans appreciate the entire soundscape of Pink Floyd's music, not just the lyrics and guitar solos. The upcoming Mountain Winery shows will offer unique experiences, with one night dedicated to "The Wall" and the other to "Dark Side of the Moon," showcasing different aspects of Pink Floyd's discography.

Darlington expressed his excitement for performing the legendary "Comfortably Numb" guitar solo and speculated on the possibility of David Gilmour and Roger Waters touring again. While he predicted a potential tour from Gilmour, he was unsure about Waters due to his controversial image. Darlington concluded by humorously addressing the question of "Which one's pink?" often asked by fans, emphasizing the relevance of Brit Floyd's tribute to Pink Floyd's iconic music.
