Meet the Newest Addition to the Dallas Cowboys' Receiving Corps: Jaden Smith

The Dallas Cowboys have recently added another wide receiver to their roster, signing former Tampa Bay Buccaneers player Jaden Smith. Despite sharing a name with the famous actor, he is a different individual. Smith, who was undrafted in 2025, missed the entire season due to an injury during training camp. He was part of the Buccaneers' offseason roster in April before being released. This signing comes after the retirement of Parris Campbell, with Romello Brinson being the other recent addition to the Cowboys' receiving corps.

Standing at an impressive 6-foot-6 and weighing 210 pounds, Smith brings a massive frame to the team. During his final season at Nevada, he led the team in receptions, receiving yards, and touchdowns. Known for his prowess in the red zone, Smith has been praised for his maturity, leadership, and class act demeanor by his college coach, Jeff Choate. Prior to Nevada, Smith played at Montana State and later transferred to Tarleton State.

Despite lacking top-end speed, Smith is considered an elite red zone target with exceptional high-pointing ability. His character and intangibles have earned him high marks, making him a valuable addition to the Cowboys' receiving corps. The team hopes that Smith's skills and attributes will contribute positively to their offense in the upcoming season.
