Kelsey Asbille Returns to Acting in Action Film "The Kellys" with Arnold Schwarzenegger and Liam Hemsworth

Kelsey Asbille is set to make her acting comeback in a new action film titled The Kellys, alongside Arnold Schwarzenegger and Liam Hemsworth. The movie, acquired by Amazon MGM for global streaming release, follows the story of Jack Kelly, a disgraced cop whose wife is taken hostage by terrorists. Asbille's character details are being kept secret as production is currently underway.

This marks Asbille's first role since her character Monica's shocking death in the Yellowstone series finale. In Yellowstone, Monica and her husband Kayce were central characters, with Monica transitioning from a local school teacher to a professor at Montana State University. The show ended with Kayce taking over the Yellowstone Ranch after his father's death, and Monica and Kayce were still together.

However, in the spinoff series Marshals, it was revealed that Monica had passed away after battling cancer. Showrunner Spencer Hudnut explained that Monica's death would continue to influence Kayce's storyline, guiding him towards a new path. Hudnut emphasized the importance of respecting Monica's character and not overshadowing the original series' ending.

Asbille has not publicly commented on Monica's onscreen death but allowed her likeness to be used in Marshals, enabling the show to include photos of the character. The Kellys marks her return to acting after her Yellowstone role, and fans are eager to see her in this new action-packed film.
