The ad was filmed at Halas Hall in Lake Forest, Ill., where Vaughn grew up and the Chicago Bears practice. Vaughn, a big Bears and Madden fan, perfectly quarterbacks the commercial, which will be released in various formats for TV and streaming ads.
In the ad, Vaughn talks about the immersive experience of playing Madden, where you can be the GM, owner, player, and coach of your team. He shares his personal experiences of playing Madden with friends and family, including a memorable scene from the movie "Swingers" where he makes Wayne Gretzky's head bleed in a game. Vaughn's collaboration with EA for the Madden NFL 27 ad marks his first official partnership with the gaming company.
Madden NFL 27 is scheduled to be released on Aug. 13, with special editions and EA Play Pro subscribers getting early access. The "It's Your League" trailer was unveiled during EA Sports' Madden NFL 27 and College Football 27 "Opening Drive Official Reveal Event" livestream on YouTube. Vaughn's involvement in the ad campaign adds a personal touch to the promotion of the popular video game.
