Arrest of Alexander W. Price: Gas Station Confrontation Leads to Charges

An incident at a gas station in Westfield, Indiana, led to the arrest of a 21-year-old man named Alexander W. Price. The man allegedly confronted a group of teenagers at a Wawa gas station, leading to a tense situation that involved a handgun being pointed at one of the teens. The incident began when someone threw a granola bar inside the gas station, escalating into a confrontation between the teens and three men, one of whom was identified as Price. The situation intensified when Price allegedly blocked the teens' vehicle with his truck and pointed a handgun equipped with a laser at one of the teenagers.

Law enforcement responded to the incident after receiving a report of a man pointing a handgun at the teenagers. The teens, who appeared shaken and emotionally distressed, reported feeling threatened by Price's actions. The primary victim, a 17-year-old boy, recounted the events to investigators, stating that the confrontation started when one of the men asked if they wanted to fight. Despite the teen's attempts to defuse the situation, Price allegedly became agitated and pointed the gun at the teen's head, making threatening remarks.

Price initially denied involvement in the incident but later admitted to getting into an altercation with the teenagers at the gas station. He claimed that the teens instigated the confrontation and that he only became upset when he was called "cute." However, evidence found in Price's truck, including a handgun, drug paraphernalia, and marijuana, contradicted his version of events. Security footage from the gas station also showed Price initiating contact with the teens, blocking their vehicle, and pointing the firearm with a laser at them.

As a result of the incident, Price was arrested and charged with multiple offenses, including intimidation, pointing a firearm, and possession of marijuana. He was taken to the Hamilton County Jail in Indiana, where he was initially held without bond. Following a court hearing, his bond was set at $200,000. The two other men who were in the truck with Price were released after the incident.
