Ta Films: Expanding Horizons in Film Production

Ta Films, a Dubai-based production company, recently premiered its Yemen-set drama "The Station" at Cannes and is now expanding its production endeavors with a lineup of upcoming projects. Co-founded by Shivani Pandya Malhotra and Sangeeta Desai in 2022, the company is led by CEO and creative director Nadia Eliewat. They are set to start production on "Drowning," the debut feature by Saudi filmmaker Mujtaba Saeed, which follows a man's quest to see his father executed. The company is also collaborating with leading Middle East media group MBC on a new feature film.

Following the success of "The Station," Ta Films is looking to broaden its production slate, development pipeline, and international partnerships across the Middle East, North Africa, and South Asia. Pandya Malhotra expressed her passion for production and supporting emerging creative voices, emphasizing the importance of authentic storytelling. Eliewat highlighted the company's commitment to creating a platform for filmmakers with unique perspectives and developing projects that resonate globally.

With "Drowning" entering production and new projects in the works, Ta Films is optimistic about the future and aims to provide a platform for filmmakers with distinctive voices. They have previously produced successful films like "Yellow Bus" and "Mahbas" and are dedicated to bringing culturally rich stories to audiences worldwide.
