Auditions for the 2026-27 season are set to take place on June 21, offering a chance to be part of the in-game entertainment and ice cleanup crew. Oilers Entertainment Group (OEG) has announced that the auditions will involve various activities to assess energy, teamwork, communication, and engagement, including team-building exercises, improv, and on-ice skating drills. The crew, established in 2016, plays a vital role in off-ice giveaways, ice maintenance, and private event appearances.
To be eligible for the auditions at Rogers Place, candidates must be 18 years or older and pay a $20 fee to secure a spot. The audition process will differ for off-ice and on-ice roles, with on-ice candidates undergoing skating evaluations in two rounds to showcase their skills. Applicants will need to specify the role they are trying out for and successful candidates will proceed to formal interviews.
