Manchester United Announces Departures of Malacia, Casemiro, and Sancho; Offers New Contract to Goalkeeper Dermot Mee

Manchester United has announced that Tyrell Malacia, Casemiro, and Jadon Sancho will be leaving the club as their contracts expire this month. However, the club has offered a new contract to goalkeeper Dermot Mee, who has been a valuable presence in training despite limited playing time. Casemiro, a key player for the team, confirmed his departure earlier this year after a successful four-year stint at Old Trafford. Malacia, who struggled with injuries, and Sancho, who spent time on loan, are also set to depart.
Casemiro, a Brazilian midfielder, had a productive spell at Manchester United, contributing 26 goals in 160 games and winning both the Carabao Cup and FA Cup during his time at the club. Malacia, on the other hand, faced setbacks due to injuries, limiting his appearances for the team. Sancho, a high-profile signing from Borussia Dortmund, failed to make a significant impact during his five-year tenure at United.
Despite the departures, goalkeeper Dermot Mee has been offered a new contract by the club. Mee, a 23-year-old academy graduate, has impressed in training sessions and represented the Under-21s team in competitive matches. Additionally, three academy players, Sonny Aljofree, James Bailey, and Malachi Sharpe, will be leaving the club on free transfers, while Albert Mills and Dante Plunkett are set to sign their first professional contracts with Manchester United in July.
