Former NFL Player Henry Ruggs Denied Parole After Fatal DUI Crash: A Look Back at the Tragic Incident

Former NFL player Henry Ruggs was recently denied parole by the Nevada Board of Parole Commissioners, almost five years after a fatal car crash in Las Vegas. Ruggs, a former Raiders wide receiver and first-round draft pick, was driving his sports car at speeds exceeding 156 mph when he collided with another vehicle on November 2, 2021. The crash resulted in the death of 23-year-old Tina Tintor and her dog, Max. Prosecutors revealed that Ruggs had a blood-alcohol level of 0.16% shortly after the incident, and it was reported that he had been at TopGolf, a popular sports entertainment venue in Las Vegas, prior to the crash. In May 2023, Ruggs pleaded guilty to felony DUI causing death and misdemeanor vehicular manslaughter, leading to a prison sentence of three to 10 years, which was handed down in August 2023.
