Rush's 'Fifty Something' Tour: A Celebration of Five Decades of Music and Legacy

Rush's co-founders Geddy Lee and Alex Lifeson embarked on the highly anticipated "Fifty Something" tour on June 7, 2026, with a series of sold-out shows at Los Angeles' Kia Forum. This tour marked the band's return to the stage after an 11-year hiatus and celebrated over five decades of Rush's music and legacy. The venue held special significance as it was where the band had their final R40 Tour performance in 2015 with Neil Peart, who passed away in 2020.
Accompanied by drummer Anika Nilles and keyboardist Loren Gold, Rush began the show with a tribute film to their illustrious career before launching into an electrifying performance of "Xanadu." The setlist included fan favorites like "Limelight," "The Spirit of Radio," "Tom Sawyer," and "YYZ," as well as deep cuts such as "By-Tor and the Snowdog."
The second night of the tour featured a different lineup of songs, including "Free Will," "The Trees," and "Closer to the Heart," along with a performance of the entire first side of the iconic album "2112." Aimee Mann made a special guest appearance to perform "Time Stand Still" with the band, paying tribute to Peart.
Each night concluded with a powerful rendition of "Working Man" from Rush's debut album, leaving a lasting impression on the audience. The tour offers fans a unique experience with two sets each night, drawing from a vast catalog of 40 songs spanning the band's illustrious career. Additional tour dates have been added, extending the run well into 2027.
Fans can purchase tickets for the tour and explore Rush's career-spanning collection, "Rush 50," available in various configurations, including the Super Deluxe Edition, Deluxe Edition, and CD Deluxe Edition. The tour promises to be a memorable celebration of Rush's enduring legacy and musical contributions.
