Slano Film Days: A Showcase of International Talent and Industry Insights

Slano Film Days, a prestigious event overseen by the Sarajevo Film Festival, is set to take place from June 16-20. The event will feature renowned Bosnian directors Jasmila Žbanić and Danis Tanović, as well as Italian filmmaker Maura Delpero among its speaker lineup. The five-day event aims to bring together emerging filmmakers from the Adriatic region with leading film professionals from around the world for talks, screenings, and networking opportunities.
Golden Bear-winning and Oscar-nominated director Jasmila Žbanić will be sharing new details about her latest film, Quo Vadis, Aida? – The Missing Part, which stars Irish actor Liam Cunningham. Cunningham, known for his role in HBO's Game Of Thrones, will also be present at Slano Film Days. Hungarian director Lili Horvát will be discussing her first English-language film, My Notes On Mars, starring Rupert Friend and Mackenzie Davis, as well as presenting her earlier feature, Preparations To Be Together For An Unknown Period of Time.
Mexican filmmaker Michel Franco will be part of the Career Talks Programme, sharing insights into his storytelling and direction approach. The event will also host top casting directors, talent agents, producers, and sales agents, including Emilie Georges, Mike Goodridge, Philippe Bober, Erik Hemmendorff, and Olivier Barbier. Notable casting directors like Kate Rhodes James, Francesco Vedovati, and Timka Grin will also be giving career talks at the event.
