2022 Detroit Lions Roster Projection Post-OTAs: Tough Decisions Ahead

The Detroit Lions have completed their organized team activities and are gearing up for training camp. The team will have mandatory minicamp next week before the summer break. Training camp traditionally starts in mid-to-late July for the Lions.

In my latest projection post-OTAs, I foresee Jared Goff and Teddy Bridgewater making the final roster, while Luke Altmyer may face challenges. Jahmyr Gibbs, Isiah Pacheco, and Sione Vaki are likely to secure spots in the running back group.

Amon-Ra St. Brown, Jameson Williams, Isaac TeSlaa, Greg Dortch, and Dominic Lovett are expected to make the cut in the wide receiver group. Kendrick Law's season-ending injury could impact the roster decisions.

Sam LaPorta, Brock Wright, and Tyler Conklin are likely to be the tight ends on the roster. The offensive line group may see Cade Mays, Tate Ratledge, and others making the final cut.

On the defensive side, Alim McNeill, Jay Tufele, Tyleik Williams, Levi Onwuzurike, and Skyler Gill-Howard could secure spots. Aidan Hutchinson, D.J. Wonnum, Derrick Moore, Payton Turner, and Ahmed Hassanein are expected to make the roster in the defensive line group.

Jack Campbell, Derrick Barnes, Malcolm Rodriguez, Damone Clark, Jimmy Rolder, and Trevor Nowaske are projected to be part of the linebacker group. The cornerback group may include D.J. Reed, Terrion Arnold, Roger McCreary, Ennis Rakestraw, Rock Ya-Sin, Keith Abney II, and Khalil Dorsey.

In conclusion, the Lions have tough decisions to make regarding their final roster, with competition in various positions. The team's depth and talent will play a significant role in shaping the final roster for the upcoming season.
