BMW Secures Pole Position for 2026 24 Hours of Le Mans with Kevin Magnussen at the Helm

Kevin Magnussen will be leading the 2026 24 Hours of Le Mans race from pole position in the No.15 BMW M Team WRT BMW M Hybrid V8. The race is scheduled to start at 16:00 local time in France on Saturday, June 13. BMW secured pole position after the #38 Cadillac Hertz Team JOTA entry had its fastest lap deleted due to a pit lane infringement, dropping them to 10th on the grid. Magnussen will share the No.15 BMW with Raffaele Marciello and Dries Vanthoor. The No.12 Cadillac Hertz Team JOTA will start second, followed by the No.35 Alpine Endurance Team car in third.

The Hypercar grid for the 24 Hours of Le Mans has seen a shakeup with the penalty to the #38 Cadillac, allowing BMW to claim pole position with Magnussen at the helm. The No.12 Cadillac will start alongside BMW on the front row. The top class features a diverse mix of manufacturers including BMW, Cadillac, Alpine, Genesis, Aston Martin, Ferrari, Toyota, and Peugeot. It promises an exciting start to the race with a competitive field vying for victory.
