Rutgers Football secures a commitment from 2027 wide receiver Isaiah Alvarez, who visited the campus last weekend. Alvarez, a Don Bosco Prep prospect from New Jersey, chose Rutgers over offers from Colorado, Michigan State, Nebraska, and Penn State. During his visit, Alvarez interacted with coaches Schiano, Ciarrrocca, and Brock, who emphasized his importance to the team. Last season, Alvarez had an impressive performance with 702 receiving yards, six touchdowns, and additional special teams contributions. He is ranked as the No. 652 overall recruit in the country, the No. 88 wide receiver, and the No. 21 prospect in New Jersey for the 2027 class.
