Georgia Bulldogs Secure Commitment from DL Marcellus Young Casario in Class of 2027

The Georgia Bulldogs secured a commitment from Class of 2027 DL Marcellus Young Casario, marking their second pledge of the day. Earlier, the Bulldogs also added 4-star WR Jamir Dean, who switched his commitment from Penn State. Young Casario, a 3-star prospect from St. Andrew’s College in Canada, moved to Rabun Gap-Nacoochee HS in Georgia for his junior season. He chose Georgia over offers from Miami, Michigan State, and Georgia Tech.
Young Casario becomes the 16th player to commit to Georgia in the Class of 2027 and the third defensive lineman in the class. He is joined by 3-star DL Waylon Wooten and 3-star edge Olayiwola Taiwo, both from Georgia. Young Casario is the highest-rated player among the defensive linemen in the group. According to 247Sports’ composite rankings, he is ranked as the No. 553 overall prospect in the Class of 2027, the No. 70 DL, and the No. 69 prospect from Georgia.
