West Virginia Man Faces 21 Felony Charges After State Police Investigation

A man in Kenova, West Virginia, is facing numerous felony charges following a two-day investigation conducted by the West Virginia State Police. The investigation began after troopers responded to a brandishing complaint on Friday. They identified the suspect as Skylar M. Larcart, 27, and discovered a firearm in his possession. Subsequently, troopers obtained permission to search Larcart's residence and vehicle, where they found a rifle, marijuana, and digital scales. A search warrant executed on Saturday at Larcart's residence led to the discovery of multiple firearms, controlled substances, and U.S. currency. As a result of the investigation, Larcart was charged with 17 counts of persons prohibited from possessing firearms and three counts of possession of a controlled substance. In total, Larcart accumulated 21 felony charges and three misdemeanor charges during the investigation. He is currently held in the Western Regional Jail on a $20,000 bond.
