Former Janesville Teacher Faces Felony Bail Jumping Charge for Entering Locker Room with Children Present

A former teacher from Janesville, Adam Teal, who was previously accused of possessing child pornography, now faces a felony bail jumping charge for allegedly entering a locker room with children present at a hockey rink. The incident occurred during a youth hockey tournament at an ice rink on Milton Avenue, where Teal was reported to have entered the locker room while there were eight to 12 boys inside. Teal admitted to being in the locker room, leading to the new criminal complaint filed against him.

Teal, aged 33, had previously been accused of sending a nude image of a woman online without her consent in September 2025. Investigators also found evidence of child exploitation discussions on his phone, resulting in his arrest on 10 child pornography charges in October 2025. Following these charges, Teal's bond was initially set at $100,000 with strict conditions prohibiting intentional contact with minors. However, his bond was later reduced to $10,000 on March 18, and he was released from custody.

During a recent court appearance in Rock County, Teal's bond was set at $25,000 for the bail jumping charge. If he posts bond, he will be required to adhere to specific conditions, including avoiding contact with the Woodman’s Convention Center, refraining from using electronic devices with internet access, and having no intentional contact with minors. Teal is scheduled for a preliminary hearing on June 22 for the bail jumping charge and a calendar call on July 27 for the child pornography case.
