Renewables 24/7: Shaping the Future of Energy at The Smarter E Europe Exhibition
Europe is currently facing an energy crisis, highlighting the need for a shift towards renewable energy sources. The smarter E Europe, a leading alliance of energy industry exhibitions, is showcasing a special exhibit called Renewables 24/7 to emphasize the importance of renewable energy in ensuring a secure, reliable, and affordable energy supply. A new study by the Fraunhofer Institute for Solar Energy Systems ISE supports this message and will be presented at the event from June 23-25 in Messe München, featuring over 2,800 exhibitors and expecting more than 100,000 visitors.
The study conducted by Fraunhofer ISE, titled "Cost-Optimal Transformation of the German Energy System by 2045," highlights the benefits of a renewable energy system in terms of reliability, cost-effectiveness, resilience, and climate neutrality. The special exhibit Renewables 24/7 at the event demonstrates how renewable energy systems can be implemented in practice, showcasing groundbreaking technologies for a 24/7 renewable energy supply.
The event will feature discussions on the feasibility and social acceptance of a fully renewable energy system, with experts and activists sharing their insights. The Bidirectional Zone will showcase how electric vehicles can contribute to grid integration through technologies like smart charging and virtual swarm storage. Additionally, the Hydrogen Dialogue Forum Expo will focus on the role of green hydrogen in the energy transformation, with a summit exploring current trends and challenges in the hydrogen sector.
The ees Island Challenge 2026 results will be presented at the event, highlighting technology transfer from space to Earth-based infrastructure and power systems. For more information about the event, visit the official website.
