Tragic Fatal Crash in Warren: Juveniles in Custody After High-Speed Chase

A tragic incident occurred in Warren as a 48-year-old victim lost their life in a fatal crash involving a truck fleeing from the police. The incident took place at the intersection of 8 Mile and Schoenherr early Thursday morning. Four juveniles are now in custody in connection with the incident. The suspects, wearing ski masks, were spotted by Warren police during a routine patrol, prompting an attempted traffic stop. However, the suspects chose to evade the police, leading to a high-speed chase through the neighborhood. The fleeing truck ran a red light at the intersection and collided with the innocent driver's vehicle, resulting in the victim's death. The suspects abandoned the truck and fled on foot, but four of them were apprehended by the police. The driver of the uninvolved vehicle, a 48-year-old Detroit resident, was pronounced dead at a local hospital. According to Warren police, the juveniles were linked to multiple vehicle-related crimes in the area over the past two days.
