Legal Battle Ensues: Village 21 Investment Partners Sues Adam LaRoche, Luke Bryan, and Jason Aldean Over E3 Chophouse Closure

A real estate company has filed a lawsuit against MLB player Adam LaRoche and country stars Luke Bryan and Jason Aldean following the closure of their Nashville restaurant, E3 Chophouse. The lawsuit alleges that the three owners abruptly closed the restaurant in February and stopped paying rent, leading to a default on their lease agreement. Village 21 Investment Partners, the plaintiff, is seeking to add a claim for breach of the lease guaranty in the lawsuit.
E3 Chophouse, described as a high-end, service-driven, fine dining chophouse, had an original location in Steamboat Springs, Colorado, owned by LaRoche and his family. Aldean and Bryan had long discussed opening a Nashville location, which came to fruition in late 2019. However, the sudden closure of the restaurant in February left the owners facing legal action for defaulting on their lease agreement.
The lawsuit claims that the Guarantors, including Bryan, Aldean, and LaRoche, guaranteed the performance of the tenant's obligations under the lease, including rent payments. The amended complaint seeks damages, liabilities, and costs, including attorneys' fees, resulting from the tenant's default on the lease agreement. A judge is set to hear the motion to amend the complaint on July 10.
