Carjacking Incident Linked to Parkside Avenue Shootout in Philadelphia

Police in Philadelphia are currently investigating a carjacking incident that occurred in the Parkside neighborhood. The incident is believed to have originated from a shootout that took place on Parkside Avenue early in the morning. The victim and three others were inside a black Nissan near a house party when two groups of males engaged in gunfire in front of the car. The driver sought cover but was later ambushed by some of the males involved in the shootout. The suspects then forcibly entered the vehicle at gunpoint and instructed the victim to drive away. After a short distance, the driver and his friends were ordered out of the car at gunpoint, and the suspects fled the scene. The car was later found abandoned on Nolan Street, and fortunately, none of the occupants were injured. The police discovered numerous shell casings, projectiles, and live rounds at the scene, and the investigation is ongoing. Detectives are now checking area hospitals to see if any shooting victims have arrived.
