Carolina Hurricanes Sign Forward Nicolas Deslauriers to Two-Year Contract
The Carolina Hurricanes have signed forward Nicolas Deslauriers to a two-year contract, with Deslauriers set to earn $850,000 in 2026-27 and $900,000 in 2027-28. General Manager Eric Tulsky praised Deslauriers for his contribution to the team's locker room and physical presence on the ice. Acquired from the Philadelphia Flyers in March 2026, Deslauriers played seven regular-season games and one playoff game with the Hurricanes, recording one assist. The 35-year-old left-wing has played for several NHL teams, accumulating 106 points and 799 penalty minutes in his career. Deslauriers was drafted by the Los Angeles Kings in 2009.
