Police Search at Maurice Parms' Residence Following Arrest for Indecent Behavior with a Minor
The Baton Rouge Police Department conducted a search at the residence of Maurice Parms, a 50-year-old man, after his arrest for indecent behavior with a 16-year-old. A significant police presence was observed outside Parms' home, with neighbors gathering around the property, which had a broken front window that was boarded up. Parms came under scrutiny after messages between him and a 16-year-old girl were discovered during an investigation into the disappearance of 15-year-old Ja'Derrius Minniweather. Arrest documents revealed that Parms referred to the girl as being in a relationship with him and mentioned his seven-year-old daughter as the girl's stepdaughter. Parms was charged with indecent behavior with juveniles and computer-aided solicitation of a minor on June 10. The United Cajun Navy is actively searching for Minniweather, who remains missing.
