Developing Top-Tier Talent: USC's Wide Receivers Coach Dennis Simmons' Impact on the Trojans' Receiving Corps
USC's wide receivers coach, Dennis Simmons, has an impressive coaching background, starting in 2008 at Texas Tech and later coaching at East Carolina, Washington State, and Oklahoma. He joined USC with head coach Lincoln Riley in 2022 and has continued to develop top-tier receivers. Simmons mentored standout players like Dede Westbrook, Marquise Brown, and CeeDee Lamb, who all excelled under his guidance.
Recently, Simmons recruited and mentored talented players like Makai Lemon and Ja’Kobi Lane, who went on to become first-round picks. He also helped freshman Tanook Hines secure a starting position after a strong performance in fall camp.
