Fuel Up with 7-Eleven: Gas Discounts and Loyalty Rewards for Smart Savings
7-Eleven is offering aggressive gas discounts without any membership fees. As gas prices have started to fall, the convenience store chain is enticing customers with attractive deals. The national average for a gallon of regular gasoline has dropped to $3.99, marking nearly four weeks of declines. Despite the decrease, prices remain high compared to last year, prompting consumers to alter their gas-buying habits to cope with the elevated costs.
Walmart and Sam's Club have observed changes in consumer behavior related to gas purchases. While the number of gallons customers fill up with has decreased, overall gas sales have increased. Costco, known for its competitive gas prices, has also seen shifts in customer behavior, with more members topping up their tanks frequently due to concerns about future price increases.
7-Eleven leverages gas promotions to attract customers to its 7Rewards loyalty program. By joining the program, members receive instant savings on gas purchases. The chain makes it convenient for members to claim their discounts by simply pressing the 7Rewards button at the pump and entering their associated phone number.
On select dates, 7-Eleven offers all customers a discount of $0.50 per gallon. By texting ALLIN to 711711, customers can become 7Rewards members and receive additional savings on the 7th and 11th of every month through July 11, 2026. Kroger has also introduced a 4X Fuel Points promotion, allowing customers to earn four points for every dollar spent on groceries on specific dates, leading to savings on gas purchases.
With gas prices remaining higher than last year, BMO Capital Markets Senior Economist Sal Guatieri suggests that most Americans will need to cut back on spending in other areas. As consumers navigate fluctuating gas prices, promotions and loyalty programs offered by retailers like 7-Eleven and Kroger provide opportunities for savings at the pump.
