Rolling Stones' New Album 'Foreign Tongues' Featuring Steve Winwood and More: A Musical Collaboration to Watch Out For

The Rolling Stones are set to release their new album, Foreign Tongues, on July 10, featuring guest appearances from Steve Winwood, among others. Winwood's history with the band dates back to the '60s, and his involvement in the album was initially meant to be a quick cameo but evolved into a more significant contribution. The Stones reached out to Winwood through producer Andrew Watt, inviting him to play on multiple tracks for the album, highlighting his piano talents and the vintage Stones vibe they were aiming for. Mick Jagger confirmed Winwood's presence on the track "Jealous Lover," the album's second single, set to be released on June 26. Other notable guests on the album include Robert Smith, Paul McCartney, and Chad Smith.
While the Stones may not tour for the new album, Keith Richards expressed interest in a residency-style performance that would involve less travel. In the meantime, Richards will hit the road in September for a series of shows with John Fogerty, starting in Tinley Park, Illinois, on September 3 and concluding near the end of the month. This tour follows Richards' previous solo performances in the U.S. and marks his return to the stage after nearly 20 years since his last studio album, Nine Lives, was released in 2008. The collaboration between the Rolling Stones and Steve Winwood on Foreign Tongues promises to deliver a blend of classic rock sounds and contemporary music influences, making it a highly anticipated release for fans of both artists.
