Title: Delhi Police Crack Down on Online Investment Fraud Scheme, Arrest Two Suspects

The Delhi Police have made a significant breakthrough by apprehending two individuals in connection with a major online investment fraud case. The fraud involved cheating a victim of around Rs 80 lakh by luring them with promises of high returns from stock market investments. Stocks worth Rs 25 lakh were frozen during the investigation, and a detailed money trail was established connecting the accused to multiple beneficiary accounts.

The complainant fell victim to the fraud after being enticed with attractive returns on stock market investments. Despite transferring money through multiple transactions, the victim did not receive the promised profits or the principal amount back. The case was registered at Police Station Rajinder Nagar, and a dedicated team led by Inspector Rajender Singh conducted an extensive financial and technical investigation.

The arrested individuals, Piyush Kumar and Jatin Khajotia, were apprehended based on specific technical inputs and intelligence gathered during the investigation. Piyush Kumar was arrested in New Delhi, while Jatin Khajotia was detained in Gurugram. Both accused admitted to gaining the victim's trust and persuading them to invest in stock market schemes with the promise of high returns.

During interrogation, it was revealed that a portion of the defrauded amount was diverted through multiple beneficiary accounts and invested in stock market instruments. Efforts are underway to trace further financial assets linked to the proceeds of the crime, and the police are verifying the previous involvement of the accused. The investigation is ongoing to identify additional beneficiaries and recover the remaining funds.

The Delhi Police are actively investigating the case to dismantle the broader network involved in the online investment fraud. Efforts are being made to recover the defrauded funds and hold all responsible parties accountable for their actions.
