2021 Detroit Lions Training Camp Preview: Dates, Practices, and Updates

The Detroit Lions recently wrapped up their OTAs and minicamp, signaling a quiet period before training camp kicks off. The league has announced the report dates for all 32 teams, with rookies for the Lions set to report on July 25 and veterans following on July 28. Typically, the first training camp practice occurs the day after veterans arrive, so fans can anticipate the first Lions practice around July 29.

Unlike some teams, the Lions have decided not to participate in any joint practices this year. Head coach Dan Campbell expressed that while they found value in them in the past, the benefits seemed to diminish over time. Instead, the team will focus on their own practices at their facility in Allen Park, along with their three preseason games.

As of now, there is no information available on which training camp days will be open to the public or when tickets will be released. Last year, these details were announced on June 17, so fans should stay tuned for updates in the coming days.
