David Leslie Cox Arrested for Animal Cruelty and Endangerment in Golden Valley, CA

David Leslie Cox, a 76-year-old resident of Hesperia, CA, was arrested by Mohave County Sheriff’s Office deputies on charges of Cruelty to Animals and felony Endangerment. The arrest followed a welfare check at the 5000 block of Highway 68 in Golden Valley, where deputies found a truck with cages full of cats exposed to the hot sun. Animal Control Officers discovered multiple rattlesnakes and a deceased kitten inside the vehicle, leading to the removal of 5 rattlesnakes and 16 cats. Cox faces charges for endangering the animals and failing to disclose the presence of the rattlesnakes during the investigation. The case is under investigation.
