Former Wimbledon Champion Marketa Vondrousova Receives Four-Year Ban for Declining Anti-Doping Test

Former Wimbledon champion Marketa Vondrousova has received a four-year ban for declining an anti-doping test last year. The International Tennis Integrity Agency (ITIA) charged Vondrousova after she refused to allow a doping control officer into her home for the test in December 2025. Despite Vondrousova's concerns about her safety and protocol, a tribunal found her reasoning insufficient for the refusal. The Czech player, who made history as the first unseeded player to win the Wimbledon women's singles title in 2023, will be suspended until 21 June 2030.
