Timothée Chalamet and Selena Gomez to Star in Illumination's Animated Film 'Not Alone': A Space Adventure with Aliens and Rockets
Timothée Chalamet and Selena Gomez are set to star in the upcoming animated film "Not Alone" by Illumination, known for popular franchises like "Despicable Me" and "Super Mario Bros." Chalamet will voice the character Joe, an introverted rocket mechanic, while Gomez will voice Fran, a brilliant astro-botanist working on a plant-fueled rocket. The story follows Joe and Fran as they prepare for a groundbreaking rocket launch, with the unexpected arrival of three adorable aliens seeking refuge in Joe's home. The aliens, Dunk, Welly, and Shirm, are on the run from Officer Zandro and see Fran's rocket as their ticket home.
The voice cast for the aliens includes Rob Brydon, Diane Morgan, and Jamie Demetriou, with Brett Goldstein voicing Officer Zandro. Allison Janney and Lamorne Morris also join the supporting cast. The film is co-directed by Eric Guillon, Claire Dodgson, and Jonathan Del Val, all experienced in the animation industry. "Not Alone" is scheduled for release on April 16, 2027, and is produced by Chris Meledandri, with executive producers Joy Poirel, Richard Curtis, and David Distenfeld.
