Compensation for DirecTV Stream and YouTube TV Customers in Disney Settlement: How to Claim Your Share
DirecTV Stream and YouTube TV customers could receive compensation following a $50 million settlement reached by The Walt Disney Company in a class-action lawsuit. The lawsuit alleged that Disney's bundling strategy, particularly with ESPN, led to higher prices for streaming services. Disney denied the claims but chose to settle the case, agreeing to consider proposals for packages without certain Disney-owned networks, including ESPN channels. Customers who subscribed to DirecTV Stream or YouTube TV between April 1, 2019, and March 31, 2026, may be eligible for compensation. The deadline for claim submission is Sept. 8, 2026, with a final approval hearing scheduled for Jan. 14, 2027.
