Grand Theft Auto VI: The Highly Anticipated Return to Vice City

Rockstar Games has officially announced the release date for Grand Theft Auto VI, scheduled for 19 November, with pre-orders opening on 25 June. The upcoming installment in the popular franchise will transport players back to Vice City, a fictional representation of Miami set in the state of Leonida, Rockstar's version of Florida. The game will introduce Lucia as the first female protagonist in a 3D GTA game, alongside her partner Jason, in a crime-filled narrative inspired by the Bonnie and Clyde dynamic. Grand Theft Auto VI will be available on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S, while information regarding a PC version and pricing is yet to be revealed.
Analysts predict that the development cost of GTA VI could exceed $1 billion, potentially making it the most expensive video game ever created. The highly anticipated title follows more than a decade after the launch of GTA V, a record-breaking game that has sold close to 230 million copies globally and generated substantial revenue for Rockstar. With the release of Grand Theft Auto VI on the horizon, industry experts anticipate it to be the biggest video game launch of 2026, building on the immense success of its predecessor.
