Millie Brady and Pilou Asbaek have been cast in the upcoming Apple TV series set in Legendary's Monsterverse. They will be joining Wyatt Russell, who reprises his role as Young Lee Shaw from Monarch: Legacy of Monsters. The details of their characters are being kept secret. JD Dillard will direct the pilot episode of the series, which is being developed by showrunner Joby Harold. The story follows Colonel Lee Shaw, an American operative on a mission to stop the Soviets from unleashing a destructive Titan during the Cold War.

The Monsterverse is a vast story universe that explores humanity's struggle against real monsters from myths and legends. It began with the 2014 Godzilla film and has since expanded through various movies, including Godzilla vs. Kong. Joby Harold is working on multiple new series set in this universe for Apple TV, with the support of producing partner Tory Tunnell. The series is executive produced by Harold, Tunnell, Russell, Chris Black, Kyle Bradstreet, Alex Boden, and Dillard, with Hiro Matsuoka and Takemasa Arita from Toho Co., Ltd. also serving as executive producers.
