The Legend of Vox Machina: Season 5 Delayed, Promises Epic Conclusion

Fans of The Legend of Vox Machina should brace themselves for a longer wait for the final season, according to co-creator Sam Riegel. The animated series, based on Critical Role's first Dungeons & Dragons campaign, is set to conclude with Season 5. Riegel, who also voices a character in the show, acknowledged the unpredictable and time-consuming nature of animated television production. While some episodes are complete, there is still work to be done on others, including localization for different languages.
Despite the potential delay, Riegel promised that the payoff for Season 5 will be worth it, delivering a satisfying conclusion to the saga. The previous seasons followed an annual release schedule, but Season 4 deviated from that pattern with a longer gap between seasons. If a similar timeline is followed, fans can expect Season 5 to premiere around February 2028.
Titmouse, the animation studio behind the series, is now handling production for both The Legend of Vox Machina and The Mighty Nein simultaneously. This increased workload may further impact the timeline for Season 5. Despite the extended wait, Riegel expressed confidence that the series will end exactly as intended, leaving fans with an incredible story to enjoy.
