Ryan Newman Returns to NASCAR Truck Series at FaithFest 250

NASCAR veteran Ryan Newman is set to make a comeback to the racetrack in the upcoming FaithFest 250 race at North Wilkesboro Speedway. Newman will be driving the RAM/Kaulig Racing No. 25 'Free Agent' truck in the NASCAR Truck Series event on Friday, July 18.
This race marks Newman's return to NASCAR competition after his last race in 2023 with Rick Ware Racing. It will also be his first Truck Series start since 2018 when he raced for Jordan Anderson Racing at Eldora Speedway. Despite not formally retiring from NASCAR, Newman has taken a step back from racing in recent years.
Newman's return to the track follows a harrowing crash at the 2020 Daytona 500, where he suffered serious injuries. After a three-month recovery period, Newman returned to racing at Darlington Raceway. His 2020 season saw him compete in 33 races with only two top-10 finishes.
In 2021, Newman parted ways with Roush-Fenway Racing and made a brief return with Rick Ware Racing. Since then, he has been involved in other racing events, including the Whelen and SMART Modified Tours. Newman's Daytona 500-winning paint scheme was recently honored by Ryan Blaney at Pocono Raceway.
Newman will be driving the RAM No. 25 'Free Agent' truck, which has seen various drivers behind the wheel in recent races. The truck's best finish was a 6th place by AJ Allmendinger at Watkins Glen, with other top-10 finishes by Colin Braun and Ty Dillon. Newman's return to the track adds excitement to the NASCAR Truck Series event at North Wilkesboro Speedway.
