Studiocanal Unveils Exciting Lineup: Pressure, Ink, and More!

Filmmakers Anthony Maras and Danny Boyle introduced their new films, Pressure and Ink, at Studiocanal’s slate presentation at CineEurope. Pressure is based on a play about the D-Day invasion of Normandy, while Ink explores the transformation of journalism by Rupert Murdoch and Larry Lamb. Pressure, starring Andrew Scott and Brendan Fraser, has been released in North America and will hit the UK in September, while Ink, with Guy Pearce and Jack O’Connell, is awaiting a release date.

Boyle discussed his interest in Ink, citing the pivotal event of Murdoch's purchase of The Sun in 1969. Studiocanal CEO Anna Marsh highlighted the company's success as a European film studio and producer of English-language films. The studio's upcoming projects include family-friendly adaptations like Pippi Longstocking and Mr Men/Little Miss, as well as The Divorce and The Midnight Library.

Among the films showcased were Elsinore, a true story about actor Ian Charleston, and Everybody Wants To F*ck Me, a dark comedy thriller starring Taron Egerton. French titles Violette and Les Miserables are expected to have wide international releases. Studiocanal also presented animations like Wings Of Freedom and Shaun The Sheep: The Beast Of Mossy Bottom, along with action thriller Cliffhanger and slasher Ice Cream Man.

Studiocanal's diverse slate of films promises a range of genres and stories for audiences to enjoy. With a mix of adaptations, true stories, and original concepts, the studio continues to deliver compelling and entertaining content for viewers worldwide.
