Terrion Arnold Arrested: Detroit Lions Player Faces Charges in Tampa Armed Robbery and Kidnapping Case

A Detroit Lions player, Terrion Arnold, has been arrested in Hillsborough County and is facing criminal charges related to an armed robbery and kidnapping incident that occurred in Tampa in February. The charges against Arnold include four counts of kidnapping and four counts of armed robbery, which could result in a maximum penalty of life in prison. The incident involved a targeted armed robbery at an apartment complex where three adult male victims were held at gunpoint, beaten, and pistol-whipped.
The investigation revealed that Arnold, along with several friends and co-defendants, had been staying at an Airbnb in Largo. Believing that two of the victims were responsible for stolen items from the rental property, Arnold and another man, Boakai Hilton Jr., allegedly planned a retaliation. However, it was later determined that the victims had no involvement in the theft. Arnold and his associates reported a property loss to the Largo Police Department and then directed co-defendants to lure one of the victims to a Tampa apartment where they were ambushed, beaten, and robbed.
Arnold, Hilton, and other co-defendants arrived at the apartment later and continued the assault on the victims, stealing personal property from them. The victims were then forced into their own vehicle and ordered to leave the scene. Arnold drove away with some of the co-defendants, while the victims reported the attack to the Tampa Police Department. Several individuals involved in the incident have been arrested, with two co-defendants entering guilty pleas and receiving sentences.
State Attorney Suzy Lopez emphasized that taking the law into one's own hands is not justified, and the arrest of Arnold is the result of collaborative efforts between law enforcement and prosecutors. The State Attorney’s Office plans to file a pretrial detention motion to keep Arnold in custody until his trial, citing him as a danger to the community. As of now, Arnold remains in custody at Orient Road Jail in Hillsborough County, awaiting further legal proceedings.
