Mercedes Ron, a bestselling author, has recently entered into a first-look deal with Amazon MGM Studios. Her collaboration with Amazon began with the Spanish-language Culpables trilogy, which has become the most-watched international originals on Prime Video with a total of 100 million views globally. The trilogy has been adapted into English-language movies, including My Fault and Your Fault: London, with Our Fault: London set to release later this year. Ron has also worked on the Dímelo trilogy, with the first film adaptation, Tell Me Softly (Dimelo Bajito), premiering on Prime Video last year. Her upcoming project with Amazon is Drawn Together, scheduled to launch on September 9, and she is also developing 30 Sunsets to Fall in Love from her Bali series, marking the first U.S. adaptation of her work.

Ron's stories have played a significant role in Amazon MGM Studios' focus on young adult content, alongside other successful adaptations like Maxton Hall: The World Between Us and The Summer I Turned Pretty. The first-look deal between Ron and Amazon was announced by Nicole Clemens, VP and Head of UK and International Originals at Prime Video and Amazon MGM Studios, at an event in L.A. Ron will be appearing at the Obsessed Fest fan event, along with the stars of Your Fault: London, Asha Banka, and Matthew Broome.
