New Pixar Theatrical Short Film 'Loving Dory' and Upcoming Movie 'Gatto' Announced at Annecy International Film Festival

Pixar recently announced a new theatrical short film titled Loving Dory, directed by Lou Hamou-Lhadj, known for Borrowed Time. The short film is set in the underwater world of Dory and Nemo and follows Dory's unexpected encounter with a plastic bag floating in the sea. This announcement was made during a Pixar session at the Annecy International Film Festival. The animation studio also showcased completed scenes from their upcoming movie Gatto, set in Venice and directed by Enrico Casarosa. The film features Mark Ruffalo as the voice of Nero, a black cat indebted to feline mob boss Rocco, voiced by Laurence Fishburne. The storyline involves Nero's attempt to steal a violin from Maja, a talented violinist, to clear his debt and break free from Rocco's control. Casarosa also revealed that he will be voicing the character of Saverio in the film.
