Nicholas Rossi, Convicted Rapist, Dies in Custody: A Look Back at His Criminal History

Nicholas Rossi, a man convicted of two rape cases in Salt Lake and Utah County, passed away in custody due to a pre-existing medical condition, according to the Utah Department of Corrections. Rossi, 38, made the decision to stop medical treatment and died at a local hospital on June 25. In 2025, he was found guilty of the two rape cases dating back to 2008 and was sentenced to a minimum of five years to life at a Utah State Correctional Facility.
