Title: Honoring the Legacy of Isaiah Hazel: The Isaiah Lee Hazel Foundation and Memorial Scholarship
The family of the late Maryland football player Isaiah Hazel has established the Isaiah Lee Hazel Foundation to honor his memory. The foundation recently presented its inaugural Isaiah Lee Hazel Memorial Scholarship to walk-on defensive lineman Joshua Simmons to assist with meal costs throughout the academic year. Hazel tragically lost his life in a car accident two years ago, along with Khyree Jackson and Anthony Lytton, Jr., who were also talented football players. Hazel had a successful college football career at Maryland and Charlotte, while Lytton played for Florida State and Penn State. The foundation aims to support student-athletes in need and keep Hazel's legacy alive.
