Remembering Trooper Jacob Mick: A Tragic Loss for the Massachusetts State Police

A tragic incident occurred over the weekend as a 31-year-old Massachusetts State Police trooper, Jacob Mick, lost his life in a motorcycle crash in Grafton. The department confirmed the news on Monday morning. The crash involved multiple vehicles, including at least two cars and a motorcycle, on Providence Road and Milford Road on Sunday evening.

Trooper Mick, a native of Northboro, was a dedicated public servant who always answered the call without hesitation. Colonel Geoffrey Noble expressed his condolences, highlighting Mick's commitment to service and the Commonwealth. Mick was a member of the 88th Recruit Training Troop in 2023, the same troop as Trooper Kevin Trainor, who tragically passed away in a wrong-way crash in Lynnfield last month.

The Massachusetts State Police are actively investigating the crash in collaboration with the Worcester County District Attorney’s Office. The loss of Trooper Jacob Mick is deeply felt within the department and the community. Our thoughts are with his family, friends, and colleagues during this difficult time.
